2026年5月18日早朝に、西郷純一が天に召されました。
77年間の地上生涯を無事終えて、沢山の方々にお世話になりながらの旅立ちでした。
幸いにも、家族全員に見守られて、自宅での最期を迎えることができたましたことは、
殆ど言葉を発することがなくなってしまった西郷にとって安心で平安な時であったと信じます。
これまでお世話になりました、お一人お一人の愛する方々に真心からの感謝をお捧げします。
そして全てにまさって、西郷の生涯をこのように導いてくださり、保ってくださいました主イエス様に、唯お一人の罪からの救い主、永遠のいのちをお与えくださるイエス様に、心からの賛美を力いっぱい捧げるばかりです。
就きましては、もし皆様の中で西郷との思い出をお持ちの方は、エピソードとしてメール等でお送りいただけましたら幸いです。私たち家族にとって意義深く、大きな祝福です。
最後に、大変急ではありますが、下記のごとくに「思い出を語る会」を計画いたしました。もしも、いらっしゃれる方がありましたら、当日お出かけいただきたくお願い申し上げます。

To Our Beloved Friends and Family,
In the early morning of Monday May 18, 2026, Junichi Saigo was called home to heaven.
He peacefully completed his 77-year earthly journey, departing with the support and care of so many people throughout his life. Fortunately, he was able to spend his final moments at home, surrounded by his entire family. We believe this brought a sense of security and peace to Junichi, who had become mostly unable to speak. We offer our heartfelt gratitude to each and every beloved person who supported him over the years. Above all, we offer our loudest praise from the bottom of our hearts to our Lord Jesus, the only Savior from sin, who grants eternal life, for guiding and sustaining Junichi’s life in this way.
With that being said, if any of you have cherished memories of Junichi, we would be deeply grateful if you could share them with us as short stories via email or other means. It would be highly meaningful and a great blessing to our family.
Lastly, although this is very short notice, we have planned a "Gathering to Share Memories" as detailed below. If you are able to attend, we kindly invite you to join us on the day.
